KH2:Final Mix+ has been translated through patches so if you're in to emulation it's worth a look. If a game has a Final Mix variant that you can get your hands on then it's preferred, but they haven't been localized so you're not going to have much luck. Some stuff can get confusing, but you'd generally be okay: You'd learn all of the plot details at the same time that we all did and in the same order. Release order is the traditional way, I guess.
